The White Lake – Pralognan la Vanoise
Looking for a rejuvenating hike in the heart of the famous Vanoise National Park?
Discover the Lac Blanc above the Peclet Polset refuge.
Set off on a 17.5 km hike lasting 4h30/5 hours and with an ascent of 820 metres.
You’ll need to get to Le Prioux and park in the car park at the far end, just before the tarmac road ends.
We advise you to start the route by taking the path on the left.
You will climb up until you reach the Roc de la Pêche refuge, from where you can continue to the Péclet Polset refuge.
On the way you can see many marmots.
Once you reach the refuge, continue for another 15 minutes to discover the magnificent Lac Blanc surrounded by snow.
On the way back, when you reach the Roc de la Pêche refuge, descend to the left.
On this walk, you can cross the mountain pastures and watch the cows.
You may also have the chance to walk on snow.
